What was rhymes entry fee

Another one to wonder about is Neku's entry fee for the showdown with Joshua at the end That usually brings up a wave of discussion. Hanekoma's reports mention that, though he doesn't know her entry fee, seeing as she lost the game she was sure to have lost her entry fee anyhow.

Megumi's entry fee is one I wish I could know more about. The game doesn't imply what his entry fee was, but I've thought it had something to do with his love for the city. Almost like he wanted to save the city so bad that some part of that goal became his entry fee. Which would make it a lose-lose situation for him. By the third week the game was so trashed that I wouldn't be surprise if Neku didn't even have an entry fee at that point.

However, IIRC nothing else is implied as his entry fee aside from being told that the other players were made his entry fee. That's outright cheating or not, depending on how you look at it by Megumi to win his game with the Composer, so I don't know what the purpose would be with having a different entry fee from Neku.

I think Hanekoma actually brings that entry fee up in a report, stating the same thing about Megumi's plan. Anyway, those are my thoughts on it. Somewhere all my darkest fears are gathering. User Info: Hambo the Hog. People generally believe that Rhyme's entry fee was her dreams. In the third week, Beat claims that Rhyme had dreams for the future when she was alive. In the first week though once the game has begun and the entry fees have been collected , Rhyme wishes she had a dream.

I don't know if anyone ever specifies Kitaniji's fee. I've heard one interesting guess that his entry fee was Shibuya itself. It's like he is cut off from Shibuya, the land he seems to love so much. And as thekeylessdoor said, Kitaniji was bending rules left and right to hide the fact that he couldn't actually bring people back to life.

By the third week, he was desperate to erase Neku, so he arranged a game with no other players to ensure his end. Since Neku was so attached to both Shiki and Joshua by the ends of their respective weeks, it wasn't even unrealistic to expect that Neku greatly valued other players. Additionally, it doesn't seem like anything else was taken from him other than the fact that Shiki still wasn't returned. It'd be like playing chess through the mail.

There's a lot of room to debate it. Joshua says that he's already collected the entry fee, with only a very slight hint of it being Shiki and Beat since that was the last thing he had done. I don't personally see it, though. Wasn't Josh's line something more like "Hmm I didn't think he actually said "entry fee" in the sentence.

Additionally, it seems wrong that they're the entry fee because they end up alive and with Neku in the end. We're accustomed to the idea of losing the entry fee when you lose the game from The Game. Especially since the secret reports mention that since Rhyme lost, she'd lose her fee even if she came back to life. All that said, I can't imagine why else Shiki and Beat would suddenly be immobilized or what else that entry fee could have been. Hambo the Hog posted That's interesting to note.

Assuming that Joshua wasn't lying about taking an entry fee from Neku which is what most of us logically do , he wouldn't have it anymore after that game. I wonder what it was I kind of always saw their immobilization as Josh showing off his Composer powers. User Info: danieljarlson. It's just so obvious that it causes me physical pain that people can't comprehend That's Josh paralyzed Shiki and Beat in order to demonstrate his powers as the Composer to Neku, and his final game with Neku and the corresponding entry fee isn't even mentioned until about three minutes later, after an exposition-heavy dialogue and one FMV.

We can't move! Joshua: See? It was her dreams and future plans. Yummines is wrong, as the Iron Maiden says in Beat 7 that Rhyme's memories of him were Beat's entry fee. Besides, Beat says that her sister told him that she had no dreams, when he knew that she had before Reapers' Game started. User Info: RiderOfPhoenix.
