Well know trick but thanks for sharing with other people. That WAS a great way to make gold at the beginning of 4. You can still make some profit k but not 10k on high populated servers. Tooks me 2 weeks to sell them Paladin ones at 20k when orb price was around k, 1 month ago yeah, no profit, BiS item and still hard to sell when cloth boots were selling k easily.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or what, but it is making 10 man raiders suffer which is something Blizz has said since December they do not want to do.

I bought 20 Living Ember's on my realm for 8k each. Over the past three days 50 Living Ember's have been listed on my realm. Later while playing on another realm I saw 20 listed on the AH for 9k. Checking realm progression for my realm and another realm there is not enough progression to even account for so many Living Ember's.

I think either there is an exploit to gain these, or gold sellers are using them to transfer gold easily. You can use the Undermine Journal website to see which realm have these level 1 sellers selling these in bulk for 5k - 10k each. Comment by Silvertusk I imagine the idea Blizzard is striking for is to make Chaos Orbs be consistent across all tiers of gear for Cataclysm, but also providing a secondary "orb"-esque item Living Ember, in this case. This essentially "forces" people that raid back into Heroics, thus keeping them relevant regardless of your gear level.

Comment by restopresto Cost is way down now, and AH buys are affordable. Comment by Kathucka I needed 24 of these, so I bought 20 of them from some guy who was advertising on the trade channel. I've been working the trade skills and auction house hard in order to afford them. I paid about an average price for them. I figured that he was selling for some raiding guild that wanted cash, or else he'd transferred his toon and wanted to avoid the 50,G transfer cap.

But, then I asked him how he managed to get so many. He said a friend gave them to him. That was a lie, and a bad one, too. So, I reported him. I was worried that he'd hacked an account with access to the bank of some raiding guild. Or several Now my account is perma-banned for gold-selling activity. Apparently, he really was up to no good, but I got caught in the blast radius because of my huge transaction with the guy. I've submitted an appeal ticket, and expect to get my account back in a few hours, but ouch.
